“Signs of hope” by the eyes of South Ossetian journalists

The Georgian side has chosen the very dangerous way under the slogan “to destroy everything”. They are very successfully implementing not only the breakdown process of the JCC but the breakdown of all the mechanisms of the existing negotiation format. And the main negative point is the failure of all contacts between the sides in the conflict over the year that causes great danger.

Meeting between Boris Chochiev and Zharko Petrovich. On 22 July 2008 the Deputy Chairman of the Government, the Minister for Special Affairs of the RSO, the JCC Co-chair from the South Ossetian side Boris Chochiev received the Deputy Head of OSCE Mission to Georgia Ryan Grist, the Head of the Tskhinval Field Office Grzegorz Michalski, who represented the new Councilor on the political issues of the OSCE Mission Zharko Petrovich.

OSCE Mission to Georgia confirmed that the firing upon Tskhinval on July 4 began the Georgian side. As it is known the South-Ossetian part of JCC repeatedly produced reasonable pretensions on the occasion of tendentious character of the reports of the OSCE Mission to Georgia directed from Tbilisi to Vienna which often differ from the reports made by the Officers of the Tskhinval OSCE field office.

We learnt the youth political moments, tolerance, democracy, legal norms.

International Eurasian movement supports South Ossetia. In support of South Ossetia on the Youth day representatives of the International Eurasian movement at the head of their leader Alexander Dugin arrived in the Republic, also came representatives form Italy, Turkey, Ukraine etc.

OSCE Mission had trainings on photo-journalism in South Ossetia. Since June 23-25 OSCE Mission had a three-day training on photo-journalism in Tskhinval in the building of the South-Ossetian State University. The training was conducted by experienced photo-journalists, laureates of international awards German Avakjan, David Khizanishvili, Misha Efstafjev.

New Head of the Tskhinval office of OSCE Mission was officially introduced to the JCC Co-Chair form the South-Ossetian part On June 24, 2008 Deputy Chairman of the RSO Government – Minister for Special Affairs of the RSO, JCC Co-Chair from the South-Ossetian part Boris Chochiev received the Head of OSCE Mission to Georgia Terhi Hakala, newly appointed head of the Tskhinval office of OSCE Mission Grzegorz Mikhalski and Executive Adviser of the Head of Mission Mathew Goodstein.
