Historical monuments will be reconstructed in South Ossetia

During the military aggression of Georgia against the Republic of South Ossetia it was destroyed a great many monuments of the historical heritage of Ossets, also churches and graves of those who fought for the independence of Ossetia already in the 90-ies.

When you walk around the center of Tskhinval along the Theatrical square one will immediately notice the destroyed monument of a great scientist, writer, proud of Ossets Vasso Abaev.

Fortunately not everybody is indifferent to the barbarity which was arranged in South Ossetia by Georgian soldiers.

According to Nelly Tabueva, manager of the Department of Monument Protection by the Ministry of Culture of the RSO, “all the monuments which were destroyed during the military aggression of Georgia against the RSO including churches and sanctuaries will be rehabilitated in the near future by the all-Russian Committee of protection of cultural heritage, all-Russian Society of monument protection and the Center of restoration. We thank them for it, because they are not indifferent to the cultural heritage, which was kept and protected by Ossets for centuries!”
