Youth organization “Our constructors” assists in reconstruction of Tskhinval

In South Ossetia work construction companies and organizations, they help to restore schools, hospitals, nursery schools etc.

One of those organizations is the International social organizations of Russia “Our constructors” which is at present reconstructing the Tskhinval nursery school #18 on Geroev St.

The interregional social organization “Our constructors” is a federal project which is aimed at the establishment of youth construction and labor brigades. The organization “Our constructors” began its activities in January 2008 through the support of the Committee on Youth policy in the State Duma of the Federal gathering of the Russian Federation and the State Committee of the RF on youth issues.

“We arrived here two weeks ago to help in building one of the nursery schools which suffered rather strongly after the shootings of the Georgian artillery. There is a lot of work but we intend to finish by December. We started to take part in the restoration of Tskhinval a month ago, builders from different towns came here, such as Cheboksary, Smolensk, Penza and Moscow. Now here works a brigade from Tambov”, say the members of the organization.

In respond to the question what impelled the young people to come here, they answered all together that “in frames of the activities of “Our constructors” youth from different regions of Russia came to make their input into the issue of Tskhinval reconstruction which suffered as a result of the Georgian aggression”.

These are people to which the situation in our country and in the world is not indifferent. Practically this is a volunteer work. “We are paid only for living and food”, underlined Eugenie Bojok from Smolensk.
