“The OSCE Mission did not care that the residents of Tskhinval are being killed”. The door was opened by the man in helmet and the bullet-proof vest. We asked him to let us in. Any normal man should have understood that we needed immediate help. In response he only said that he should ask the permission of the superiors. He did not let us into the building despite the heavy shelling of the town.

European deputies were impressed by what they saw in South Ossetia. As the representative of Bulgaria Peter Canev said “it is necessary to invite to South Ossetia the Ambassadors of all countries of the EU so that they see themselves what had happened here”.

Russia is satisfied by the decision of Nicaragua and hopes for the further recognition of South Ossetia. The Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry spread out comments which say that “it is not only the indication of the weighted and deep approach of the leadership of the Latin American country to modern international realities.

Residents of Georgia are being banned to communicate with relatives from Tskhinval. “People even fear to call to find out whether their relatives are alive and what happened to their houses after the shelling of Tskhinval. They are immediately taken to the police station".

Ambassador of Great Britain sees the negotiation process only in the framework of JCC. On 6 August 2008 the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity met with the Ambassador of Great Britain Denis Keef. During the meeting the attention of the Ambassador of Great Britain was drawn to the fact that Georgia is trying to break the four-sided internationally recognized format of JCC that includes Russia, Georgia, South Ossetia and North Ossetia-Alania.

Next group of children prepares to leave from South Ossetia.On August 3 the first group of children in the number of 300 people was driven away from South Ossetia in connection with the beginning of the aggressive policy of the Georgian authorities and the threat of renewal military activities. Children and their parents will be settled in boarding and resting houses of North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria.

Artillery firing upon Tskhinval renewed and became more intensive. Mortars belong to heavy artillery and the fact of their presence in the conflict zone is the rudest violation of earlier signed agreements, not speaking about their using in the aims of firing upon residential areas.

KGB of the RSO cautions about possible teracts on the territory of Russia . The information spread out by the press-service of the KGB RSO cautions the citizens of South and North Ossetia that “at present the Georgian special services prepared eight cars mended with explosives so as to commit a number of teracts and diversions in regard to citizens of South Ossetia.

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity called on to resist the provocations. Commenting the details of the exchange of fire Kokoity stated that South Ossetian side “will undertake all steps to resist the provocations of the Georgian force structures”. “However if the immediate danger arises for the residents of our villages we will have to respond adequately”, noted the President.
